morale: Sr Doc From Kolhapur Dies In Accident | Kolhapur News

Kolhapur: The zonal manager of 108 ambulance service, Dr Arun Morale (62), died in a car accident in Sangli on the Nagpur-Ratnagiri National Highway. Morale is survived by his wife, daughter, son and granddaughter.
The accident took place on an under-construction road at Vitthalwadi village, where the car overturned. Dr Morale died on the spot, while his driver, Sohail Sheikh, has survived.
As per the primary information received, Dr Morale was zonal manager of 108 ambulance service for eight districts and was travelling to Latur on Friday. Sheikh was driving. When they reached Vitthalwadi village at 6.30am, the driver didn’t notice the under-construction road and the vehicle overturned. Dr Morale sustained severe injuries to his head and died on the spot.
Dr Morale had worked as the medical officer CPR Hospital and Services Hospital in Kolhapur and also at various primary health centres across the district. After his retirement, Morale started ‘Morale Hospital’ in Manisha Nagar where he was residing and was known to offer treatment at very low costs.
