2023 Acura Integra Vs Subaru WRX

The sporty, upscale, and sharply styled Acura Integra is returning. The 2023 Acura Integra takes its position as the benchmark for the brand with its luxurious interior details and a ton of features. While some customers may not like the new design, it interests many buyers who are looking for a more luxurious Civic with decent performance. The new Integra serves as the perfect entry-level car for those looking for sports car performance at a low price.

The Integra will launch in different trims, the Integra base model, the A-Spec Integra, and A-Spec with the Technology Package. The Integra comes with a 200 horsepower turbocharged 1.5L turbo inline-4 gas engine and produces 192 lb-ft of torque. Still, there could very well be a higher performance Integra model lurking in the future. All models are front-wheel-drive and have a standard continuous automatic transmission (CVT).

The A-spec model comes with a six-speed optional manual transmission, and an adaptive suspension system is also available. The base Integra comes on 17-inch wheels, but adding the A-Spec package moves those up to 18 inches. Customers can also get an Integra with 19-inch wheels, making the car’s overall look even sportier and looks even more like an upgraded Civic with the big wheels. LED headlights and taillights come standard along with the power sunroof.

Moreover, it includes automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, flexible cruise control, and a built-in lane-keeping assist. Acura’s Traffic Jam Assist is standard, combining those last two driving aids for a seamless highway experience. Inside, the Integra has leatherette cushioning, and the A-Spec/Technology trim adds suede seat inserts.

The A-Spec pack has some amusing interior color schemes, and the overall arrangement is quite similar to last year’s Civic. The interior details are shared between the cars, like air vents and climate control switchgear. The estimated starting price of the Acura Integra is around $30,000. In contrast to this, the Subaru WRX comes with a powerful 271-hp turbocharged flat-four engine and 258 lb-ft of torque with a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT transmission.

The Subaru WRX has a softer suspension tuning which helps in maintaining traction, giving a much better driving experience, and the WRX features an all-wheel-drive, unlike Integra’s front-wheel-drive only. The 2022 Subaru WRX is the latest edition with a new platform and dynamic bodywork, powered by its new, slightly more powerful, turbocharged 2.4-liter engine.

With an interior similar to other Subaru models, the major differences in WRX include carbon fiber-like accents and red stitching with a flat-bottomed steering wheel and a set of analog gauges. The Subaru WRX’s interior features an 11.6-inch touchscreen with a not-so-subtle bezel. In the top-tier GT model, buyers get a Recaro front seat covered in microsuede. Overall, Subaru has done its best to give the interior of the WRX a sporty look with its dark hues and metal pedals.

The study also showed that a WRX requires significant repairs less frequently than the average vehicle, indicating long-term quality. With proper care and maintenance, the 2022 Subaru WRX can last around 300,000 miles. The new WRX is based on its predecessor with developments in major Subaru WRX costs around 30,000 dollars and is a tough competition to the Acura Integra 2023.

The Integra will be rather outclassed when looking at the Subaru’s 2.4 liters 271 horsepower turbocharged engine and all-wheel-drive system. It may, however, have the edge in refinement and style when compared to the more nerdy Subaru.
